they are calling this a fresh hops beer, assuming by the name the hops were frozen fresh without kilning and thawed at some point to make this, and its really good, seems like no real loss to the hops, certainly no freezer burn, and this thing drinks bright and new and harvest timey, even better than expected. i wish they gave us a little more information, but no denying this is nice beer, pale in color, orange tinted maybe, without full clarity but a short white persistent head with good density to it, some ring lacing, nice looking. smell and taste is bursting lupulin glands in near full glory, tangerine and lemon zest, pine resin, christmas tree, and gin botanicals too, so bold and fresh and complex, really good, and most of it hangs as the beer warms, oily sure, west coasty, and somewhat bitter, weedy and new, more like bubble hash, and grapefruit peel and zest and pith and juice and all. not sure what the hops are, id love to know, but they did a nice job with this. why not tell us a little more about the process, if you are doing something cool here, let us know about it! among the best of the recent sockeye stuff!

12oz canned March 1st poured into a Sockeye tumbler; clear-ish dull gold with a fluffy off-white head. The hop profile is floral and dank, with a nice bready malt backbone. Blends together well, a well-executed IPA. Not sure it tastes 'fresh' hopped or too unique but the cryo hops seem to work well in this brew.
