on cask pour at the brewery, another cool one in this format here, they so some of the best cask stuff around and it gets absolutely no attention. this is a great expression of sabro, not the first time for sockeye impressing me with that hop, the beer isnt overly hazy either which makes it super drinkable without all that protein and body, hardly even unfiltered looking really, pale brass tinted, frothy half inch of foam from the hand pull, love this format. aroma is gloriously fresh, on the edge but not over the line of being too hopped, green and vegetal, it almost smells like its going there but it never does, and its so obviously sabro, fresh coconut, cut herbs, lemongrass, pear, and grapefruit, so appealing and new, especially with just a little bit of a sweeter crystal malt in the background enhancing it, but staying light too. the flavor maybe isnt quite as dynamic as it smells, but its close, all the same fruitiness a quarter step more subtle, hints of kiwi and lime now, some light greenness but its flattering, and i love how long it seems to evolve on the palate for with the cask conditioning, impressive for it being so straight forward from an ingredient standpoint it seems. a little mandarin orange and weed once its warmed up, and awesome pint of beer. do not overlook the cask stuff here!

12oz can, golden pour, mostly clear, with a smallish off-white head. Sabro hops pop on the nose with that trademark mixture of woody pine and tropical coconut, the palate really explodes with a drying characteristic, minty cedar, and dried coconut. Creamy and smooth, malt backbone blends well with the Sabro. Good stuff, quite a single-hop showcase and one of the better Sockeye brews I've had in awhile.

12oz can from Albertsons. Hazy golden pour, one finger fluffy white head. Sweet, fruity aroma, earthy, notes of stone and tropical fruits. The first thing I noticed at first sip was the feel, very creamy. Malty, bready, mango, coconut. Soft and unassuming, very refreshing.
