For being so close to Idaho, I sure don't have many reviews from there. Here we have a Vienna Lager with coffee. Single can pickup in downtown Idaho Falls.
Pours an amber brown color. Beige head 1/3" deep. So, aroma, coffee Vienna lager? Like where is the coffee bro? Hasa nuttiness to it, but I wouldn't really say coffee. Bummer.
The taste hits like an amber ale more than a Vienna lager. So I'm not getting coffee or lager yeast in the taste or smell. What are we doing here? Way more caramel heft and viscosity than I want in a Vienna lager. I went into this hoping for coffee. I didn't really get it, then it had some deviant style misdirection as well. I guess I could find solace in trying it if I could discern the freshness, I don't believe this one had a canning date on it. Seemed like any coffee notes were more derivative of the moderately toasted barley. That's a miss for me dawg, hopefully next time is better, I do like this brewery, its been around forever. Was my first Idaho beer too (Dagger Falls).

I am drinking a Vienna Lager with coffee tonight. I am using a pint glass and serving the beer at 42. The pour created a frothy, airy, one-fingered, light tan head with poor retention. The quick dissipation left no lacing on the glass. The beer is dark amber with light rust-orange hues, charting at SRM 14 and clear. The appearance of the beer is average for this style.
When I nose the glass, I first smell coffee, caramel, and earthiness. The coffee aroma is a medium roast with light char, bitterness, woody, and a hint of smokiness. The malt profile is toasted, bready, caramel, doughy, and malty sweetness. Lastly, I noticed a faint hint of floral and grass.
The flavors share the stage with coffee and the bready malts. The coffee has a medium roast, with a slight bitterness, hint of smoke, and woody. The malt is bready, toasted, caramel, toffee, toasty, and malty sweetness. Other aromas are earthy, light floral, and herbal.
The mouthfeel is tannic, finishing dry. The body is medium and has medium-plus carbonation.
I enjoyed this beer a lot more as I continued sipping. It has this yin and yang going on with the malt and coffee. The coffee does have some bitterness, but malts help tone it down, making Morning Provision a delightful sipper.

12oz can from Brewers Haven. Medium to dark amber pour, sizeable off-white foamy head. Aroma is light coffee and toffee. Taste is sweet, caramel and a nice touch of coffee, not too have. Coffee couples nicely with the caramel malts. Smooth.

12oz can pours a dark coppery amber with a finger of foamy off-white head. Bready malt bill, simple nose includes some notes of cold-brewed coffee, clean and light. The palate is the same, smooth and bready with a nice impression of very lightly-roasted fresh coffee.
