Had this recently at PreFunk and at the Cole RD pub.
Wow.. this one looks fantastic... deep dark brown head has great retention and lacing.... the brew is thick and stains the glass with each swirl.
The nose is rich and fudgy... spiked with roasty malts and I would guess there is some espresso in there.
Flavor is every bit as good as expected... rich waves of dark malt and bittersweet chocolate... again, I swear there is quite a bit of coffee in there as it warms.... finishes surprisingly dry... but it lingers on the palate forever.
Body is a bit bigger than medium... creamy small bubble carbonation.
I really liked this one and think it can stand up to any of the more "geeked over" big stouts... It would be awesome barrel aged... hint hint hint.
