On-tap @ Sockeye. Served in a mug -
A: Fairly dark, opaque body, with a light off-tan head with small bubbles (almost looked like a nitro head). Not much lacing though.
S: Pretty muted nose, light whiffs of roasted malt, grains, smoke, hints of sweeter molasses, and herbal-toned hops.
T: Follows the nose, pretty 'watery' flavors (like Guinness in a lot of ways); malt, roast, faint smoke, maybe a hint of licorice, and a leafy herbal hop bitterness on the finish.
MF: Thinner medium body and watery. Carbonation seems low.
O: Stands right up there with any Dry Irish Stout. Decent but not my favorite style...

Onto at the Brewpub. A quick trip to Boise and you never know what you'lI find. I didn't see this when I walked in.
A - served a dark brown with a huge foamy tan head. Lots I retention and lacing.
S - Roasty and dark.
T - Smokey roasted malts.
D - Really thin body. Nitro.
O - Umph. Ok
