This was poured into a chalice. The appearance had a fairly glossy hazed over orange to brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was some light lacing sticking and then sliding down into the beer. The smell had a decent yeastiness to it with a light spice embedding itself in it. As it enters up a bit more, light "iced" apple starts to come out. The taste was mainly sweet with a nice allocation of spice and the "iced" apple. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was there but not overbearing. Overall, I liked it for the most part but seemed just a tad heavier than expected for a summer ale.

1 pint can from Jerry’s. Points for trying, this seems like it’s trying to be a Belgian blonde. Slightly tangy, citrusy nose on top of pure grain backbone. Pours light golden with short silky head, decent lacing. Taste also has some citrusy hops before becoming a grain beer.

Appearance: The liquid is a clear goldenstraw capped by a two-finger head; nice retention and a smattering of lace
Smell: Bready and yeasty, with peppery and herbal phenols - cardamon, perhaps
Taste: The phenols come on strong, up front, with white pepper and the cardamom dominant; the sweetness builds into the middle, but the profile shifts toward a husky/grainy finish; some band-aid character in the aftertaste
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: I am a little stumped by the style here with the can suggesting that it is a BPA though a number of other sites identify this as a wit; I'm not sure it is particularly successful in either category as there are a lot of clashing flavors that make this tough to drink
Thanks, JohnGalt1, for the opportunity

Picked this Pounder 4-pack up at the brewpub on Saturday evening... Jason says the ABV is 7.25%... doesn't drink that big.
Pours a polished darker straw golden.. short lasting white head leaves a decent cap and spotty lacing. Pretty but could use more lace, IMO.
The nose shows light/medium clove with some very, very minor fruity esters.
Flavor is about the same as the aromas on every level, but a bit of lite apricot and some peppercorn arises with warmth.
Could use a bigger carbonation for sure... But cans won't allow much more than this, especially the pounder cans.
Nicely done... Pretty drinkable despite the bigger ABV... I will certainly be buying these again.
Everything about this beer is done well, but it is also labeled a "Belgian" ... If you think of it as "Belgian Lite", you will appreciate it more.
