Pint at Schilling Brewing Co, Glasgow:
This one was a surprisingly good first beer from Fallen for me & one that was a lot more varied & bitter than I'd anticipated when I ordered it. The beer opened with some good grapefruit & pine bitterness with a few floral hops not too far behind & some nice caramel that helped keep the balance of the beer & prevent the hops from overpowering further on. Falling somewhere between a pale ale & an IPA given the hops that featured, the beer was an easy on to drink & I'd happily have it again.

Pours pale gold with medium-light head that leaves a good amount of lace. Nose is floral citrus...not huge but fresh and pleasant, and some yeast notes. Taste follows with a decent malt background while staying dry and well rounded. Again, leans toward citrus, like candied orange peel. Overall, a very good beer where I wasn't expected my it.
