Not so much cloudy as snowy. Lots of dandruffy flakes of sediment in suspension, making a beer that could have been a lovely golden color look more like a very dirty windshield. The head isn't great either, with good lacing but very poor retention. Smells okay, with a pleasant apricot fruitiness and an oddly helles-like pale/caramel malty base. It doesn't smell particularly wheaty. Sort of like a cream ale?
Drinks alright, with a medium body and a nice, dry, mouthwatering bitter finish, but obvious faults: DMS and diacetyl make this taste like a good beer gone bad. Canned peas and stale movie theatre popcorn push out otherwise pleasant flavours of citrus pith and bitter greens. It's certainly drinkable but it's not quite right. And sadly, it's not the first Fourpure beer I've had with similar issues. #notcraftenough
Possible food pairings (if it came to that): pizza, clams with bacon, Jarlsberg, tacos.
