440mL can for £3.7 from Marks and Spencers.
Look: Pours cloudy dark orange-brown with a small white, short-lasting head. Some lacing. Can look rather sickly in certain lighting.
Scent: Lemon and clementine peel, orange juice, and supermarket tropical juice (in a good way!).
Taste: Initially quite different from what might be expected just off the nose. The first mouthful brings slightly searing carbonation, hoppy pine and bitterness, then moves to salty and malty flavours. The sweetness and fruity flavours begin to show up near the start of each sip as one continues drinking, playing off of the hops nicely.
Feel: Creamy and slightly thick.
Finish: Lingering pine and bitterness.
Overall: A surprisingly decent DIPA for a supermarket brand, and a nice beer overall.
