Atmosphere: We visited the brewpub early on a weekday evening i August. The place was quite silent and almost empty. According to the staff, the place gets crowded at lunchtime and after midnight (they are always open to at least 3 AM). The place is located in an 80’s parking deck, the beer garden on the sidewalk. Smart interior design helps it from being dreary. The rugged wooden furniture creates a relaxed and casual ambience.
Quality: Beer and food was of good quality. The bathroom was clean and fresh.
Service: As the place was almost empty, we got fast and accurate service at the table.
Selection: They serve the brewpub’s own beers and nothing else: The kellerbier pilsener and hefeweissen are year-round and a rotating assortment of 2-4 seasonal brews is offered. That’s it.
Food: I had the ½ currywurst and my friend had the käsespetzle (noodles with melted cheese). They were of standard pub-grub quality, and we were hungry. It seems like the kitchen use lots of semi finished products.
A tip: You are not allowed to take (or order) the beer pincher to the beer garden as it is against the local laws.
