Black Warrior Brewing Company

 

Small store front brewery in the heart of downtown. Small straight bar along right hand wall about half way back with the brewhouse farther beyond it. Some tables about the front of the room and on the sidewalk. A dozen beers on tap, I had the single hop Pale Ale which was very nice. I hear there is an upstairs room, but I did not go there.

BWBC has laid its stake as a Tuscaloosa staple. The location is great, right downtown by all the good bars and restaurants. When I was there the selection wasn't as high...which is spoiled of me to say c they probably had 8 beers on tap. BUT they do have a good beer for everyone. Upstairs they have an awesome gameroom! Check it out! They do a good job!!

 

It's a great use of a small space! Great beer, great atmosphere, I only wish they had more space to work with. There a nice selection of games in the upstairs space, and if you just want a nice spot with great beer, look no further!

I can definitely see Black Warrior upgrading in the future.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The place itself in a fantastic location in downtown Tuscaloosa. Very clean and employees are nice. This may be a nice place to come if you are into the place more than the beer. I have given their beers many tries and they just aren't very good. You can have a good time here as long as you don't expect much from the beers.

 

 

 

Love Black Warrior Brewing Company. Great atmosphere, beautiful wood bar and booths with refurbished brick walls. Right in the middle of downtown Tuscaloosa, walking distance from campus. Great addition to The University of Alabama. The brewers and owners of the brewery are very friendly and are willing to show you around. The staff is very helpful and know about the beers. Best of all, they are dog friendly! You can bring your dog inside the brewery and they even make homemade dog treats out of the leftover beer grains.

 

 

Very nice place. I was there the first week they where open and they where very busy. Enjoyed the place and the beer. Was a great set up. They had about 5 beers on tap, and I got to try 4. The place is on University Blvd and right in front of some of the best bars in town. Will be back soon.
