500ml bottle straight from a german getranke.
Copper foamy liquid. Moderate bady, carbonation and maltyness. Tastes fresh and bright, with notes of toasted nuts and toffee. Pretty decent for this style but not particularly remarkable.

From the flip top bottle, it pours a nice clear golden amber with a modest, soon diminishing head that leaves lacing as you enjoy it. Nice lightly malty scent in the nose. In the mouth, it is the same, pleasant, refreshing with a smooth mouthfeel.

One of my favorite beers. I really am puzzled why others gave it so bad ratings.

Aldi, 500ml swingtop
Looks good, light copper, decent head.
Aroma is lacking, corny, grainy touch of carbolic soap there too.
Taste is better, there is a toffee note, maltyness. Bittering is low but present. Drying finish. Med body, good carb level.
I really wish the german retailers in the uk ( Aldi, Lidl) would get their shit together and offer us a couple of decent german beers. I have heard wild rumours that the Germans can actually brew good beer? :) You would think they would be in a good position to offer some.

Bottled as part of the Aldi German seasonal bottle beer range with swing top lids and brewed at genuine German brewers under strict brewing laws
Pours a clear golden body with decent enough white head
Slightly pine aroma
Slightly sweet flavour
A bit dull tbh
