Severna Park Taphouse Bar & Grill

Chill outside and during non peek hours

 

Pro: pretty good craft beer selection, nice outdoor seating area
Cons: smoking in the outdoor seating area, slow service, online beers on tap list is not updated regularly
Food is okay. Nothing special but not bad either.

 

 

Decent beer selection and they have an old wooden cask ( which I love ) but the service sucks. The bartenders take way too long to get your beer in between talking amongst themselves . When they do get to you they act as if they are doing you a favor as maybe I was not part of the "in crowd". Twice I was given the wrong beer because the Tap Handle was wrong.
Hopefully when the Park Alehouse opens this fall we will have a proper craft beer bar/ restaurant in Severna park.

 

Not impressed with the bar or restaurant. Food was average bar food at best nothing to right home about or recommend. The beer list is decent. My opinion is the bottle selection is better than draft. Bartenders were a split, some had decent amount of knowledge some did not. Found the juke box to be annoying, after a certain time it seems to turn all to speed metal??? Don't get me wrong speed metal is fine but not sure it is what I want to listen to while trying to have some good beers.
Overall this place has a lot of potential but coming up way, way, short. Would recommend other places that are not trying to score on the "tap house" name.

 

The taphouse is a nice spot especially if you like craft beer they always have a great selection of beers to pick from either bottle or well it's obvious on tap lol and I was introduced to beer on cask and might I say it is absolutely amazing and now I always check the cask when I get their and that's how I recommend you doing it when you go just get what's on cask and enjoy shoot some pool watch the game or just relax it's a good time cheers
