From the bottle, it pours a lovely caramel brown with a nice light tan head that stays a while. In the nose, it is caramel malts - the same in the mouth. Easy drinking, considering the power of the dark side, er, beer.
2020 update. New label and now a new design 12 oz bottle is available. Still great beer!

VERY distinctive label: two goats sipping beer from a mug on the top of a barrel. Alcohol amount is 7.80% so I thought: I gotta try this. Color is a dark brown, long lasting head with a very decent carbonation. The aroma reminds me of coffee, cocoa and caramel, with a little molasses finish. Not too sweet as some double bocks I've had recently, which is a plus. Taste confirms the good smell. Overall an above average beer that will make your day day a whole lot better.

Pours the color of ice tea with almost no head. Aroma is alcohol and molasses. taste is raisins, hops and some dark grains. Nothing special about this one....
