Taste: caramel, grapefruit, pine, and an earthy bitterness.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Lightly crisp throughout with a mild dry finish.
Overall: a decent IPA that is easy to drink but is not overly exciting.

I had this via the tap at Bar Louie in Tempe, AZ. The pour had a half-finger of head, that didn't last long, maybe 60 seconds, and left residual foam along the inside of the oversized pint glass it was served in. Earthy and pine taste that is nearly overpowered by the sweet malty flavors you'd find in an amber malt extract (LME). After that hits the slight bitterness you'd expect remains. Citrus and pine on the nose, similar to fresh sticky pine needles. The carbonation is moderate to high, and enjoyable with the mix of smell and taste in each sip. Overall, I enjoyed this ironic compination of balancing flavors that took a couple of seconds after each sip to experience.

Had this after completing the Phoenix Marathon. Bought a sixer at Tops in Tempe. Pours a frothy amber color with a white head that is very thin and quite bubbly, almost resembling a champagne. Aroma was citrus and floral hops with a large dose of caramel maltiness. I think the caramel was a little too much. I like my IPA's a little more hoppy and drier. Mouthfeel was a little heavy and sticky, with the malt being more noticeable than the hops. Average beer in my eyes.

Perfect amber with a finger of off white head that leaves a mild lacing. Quite a lot of caramel malt, and a bit of astringency. Minor pine, and citrus, but nothing really distinct in the nose. The flavor is bready, caramel, and malty; bit of an astringent bite, and again, citrus and pine in the background. The bitterness lingers, and not enough hoppy/fruit/resin, to make it work. Just lots of malt and bitterness. Feel is less than average carbonation, very dry, medium body. I like their Koffee Kolsch, and The Magic In The Ivy PA was very good, too. IMO, this was not on par with those.

Pour is a deep yellow bourbon color with a foamy head. Smells of citrus, pine and grapefruit. Bitter bite upfront with floral and citrus mixed in the hoppy mix. Finish is dry and bitter. Overall this is a decent IPA, smooth to drink on hot summer day would buy again.

On tap. Decent IPA but not amazing for me. Hops are medium, not especially fruity. Low malt profile. I would try it again, but I'm not longing to find it again

Poured from 12 oz can...a couple finger head but settled down quickly to the perfect level of carb. Smells like natural soap with a piney scent with a background of sweet cereal. Smells like quality. Taste is bitter upfront. And to me bitter is often better. It has a body...not quite as crisp as some of the imperial IPAs. The hop flavor is definitely there...not very floral though. It has a big taste overall. The malt is there with the hops to add some depth and weight. Very relaxing effect. This beer is right on the edge of imperial and not classified as imperial and is sold in 6 pack cans. And for me 'That'll Do!' Cheers!
