Had a snifter while dining at State48 Brewing in Surprise last night for $6.00. ABV listed as 9.0 even though the Huss web site indicates 8.3.
Beer was served golden orange with a nice white head.
Nose was citrus forward, very nice.
Taste was very well balanced with hints of peach but predominately grapefruit over a strong pale and caramel malt backbone. What impressed me was the nice touch of bitterness in the finish to balance the sweetness and keep astringency at bay.
Mouthfeel was medium bodied and smooth.
Overall this was a very good beer from a brewery i am seeing as being consistent with the quality in everything they do. Recommended to hop heads!
