Combining only select dark-roasted American-sourced malts, the Drewrys Porter reveals a rich flavor and velvety-smooth texture. An onyx pour topped with a creamy tan head makes for an elegant finish.

This is an interesting revival of a legacy brand. Can't fully figure out whether this was a Canadian or a Midwestern beer, but these started popping up here and there. At 8%, this is a heavy porter and maybe should be classified as an imperial one, but we'll defer to the manufacturer. This was a pleasant surprise. A very robust, full of roast and char character. Alcohol does come through maybe a tad much. But definitely surpassed expectations. Would be interested in trying out the rest of the revived lineup.
