This pint arrived in front of me looking clear and amber in colour with a small loose head without much density. It was reminiscent of a glass of iced tea.
The nose was trademark ipa and quite aromatic. There was some earth tones and some hay on top of a lightly toasted bread quality. Citrus notes abound.
The taste was juicy and refreshing. A bit like guava nectar. Mildly bitter in the latter moments of the palate wash. This one is quite easy to drink and it felt as though a session would be possible. The malt profile is not huge nor is the hop presence which makes for an all day style ipa but packing a 7.3 percent abv.
The mouthful is thin and juice like but works well with this here's characteristics.
Overall, this was an experience I would happily repeat. This could serve as a proper standby house ipa and attract admirers. Being named after one of gangster rap's pioneers is a smiling point for this reviewer. Worth a try. I will have another.
