Specifically brewed just for us, this American Brown Ale is made with local Ethiopian coffee from Schuil Coffee Co., dark & rye malts creating a roasted complexity.

Very nice coffee-forward brown ale sampled on tap at a local restaurant. Pours a deep, dark brown color with scant lingering head and very spotty lacing. Smells very good, the dark roast coffee is very upfront and much stronger than the weaker milk chocolate in the background. Also some roasted nuttiness, caramel, vanilla and malt. Taste follows the nose, and again the coffee is very pleasant and upfront. No bitter or acidic sour notes. Smooth and rich, yet easy to drink. A smooth, slightly creamy mouthfeel with good carbonation. A very well-balanced beer with good depth and drinkability.
