Had on tap at O'Charley's restaurant in Manchester, TN, a few miles down the road. This was not a great beer. It did look good, with nice clarity and a light copper color and good head. The aroma did not have any crisp, fresh hops as you'd like in a pale ale. It had a low malt aroma with a slightly sweet, corn-like note that I'd interpret as a fermentation flaw. The taste backed up my impression from the nose, with no fresh malt or hops flavors. It did have a slight corn "twang" to it, which seemed most likely to be from a fermentation or sanitation problem. I don't want to judge the beer too quickly, though, because I understand it's possible to get similar flavors from tap-lines that aren't properly cleaned and maintained. It could be the restaurant's handling that ruined the beer's flavor for me, not the beer itself. The body, carbonation and light alcohol presence were all good for a pale ale.

Attractive clear gold color with white cap.
Aroma is not very strong nor does it reach far from the glass. I get some light caramel malt with conifer hops following.
Taste on entry is hop forward with hits of pine and something fruity like mango. Malt stays in the background while hops continue to lead the march and set the cadence. Finish and aftertaste are more of the same but it does end on a refreshing note.
Medium texture with balancing carbonation.
Located in the same town that is home to the George Dickel distillery and within ten miles or so from Jack Daniels which means the area is already known to those familiar with the region. No connection to the distilleries that I can find but there is some name recognition in locating your brewery close to some famous places. That said this is a relatively run of the mill Pale Ale that could be made anywhere.

Pours a nice clear amber with a slightly foamy white head. it has decent retention and leaves some small spots of lacing. The aroma is mostly absent, with just a little hint of caramel malt sweetness and whiff of floral hops (maybe?). The taste is much the same but with a slight candy corn flavor to it. It is medium-light bodied with a pleasant little trickle of carbonation. If the taste and aroma were better, this would be a good quality pale ale.

Deep gold in color, there is little hop-flavor upfront; mild and refreshing, the beer finishes with some moderate hop-flavor and no hop-bite, rather leaving an aftertaste that reminds you of their presence.

Poured from a 1 pint can, low carbonation with a slight head. Smooth and malty with light hop bite at the finish. Very easy to drink and a beginner beer for those exploring the style.

Good solid pale ale. Not too bitter, but just the right amount of hops.
