I've been trying more-and-more red ales and had a 5 ounce pour of this one (their flight size, basically). It had pretty good hop and I'd drink it again. This is one of the more satisfying Monnik beers I've tried.

Impressed by this one. Lots of citrus flavor - appropriate name as this is reminiscent of a ctirusy, beery, soda pop.

Uninteresting, somewhat flat, maybe metallic aftertaste... Disappointing.

The nose is fruity with an interesting mix of oranges, tangerines, grapefruit and limes. There is a nice underlining of barley malts in the aroma.
The flavors are a sour barley grain, citrus hops and a turn of piney bitterness. The after taste holds on as bitter as it feels a bit astringent.

Fruity aroma, with those amber specialty malt notes dominating. Flavor is resiny, grassy, with specialty malt fruitiness as a backbone. Finish is bitter.
