Enough malt to balance the massive amount of dry hops we introduce after fermentation. This lends piney, citrus, floral, and even grassy notes. Keep your eye on what batch it is because we change the hops in every batch. Same base beer just different varieties of hops to keep things exciting.

From a crowler in a pint glass. This nice APA pours a nice clear
golden color with a nice head of white foam that subsides to a
thick ring, thin layer, and features some nice light lacing. Nose of
piney hops, breaded malts, and sweet honey malts. Flavors lightly
exceed the nose with honey and breaded malts rounding out a grassy
and piney hop loaded beast with a touch of lemon tinged hops on the
rear of the taste. Nice mouth feel; smooth, refreshing, balanced
malt to hop ration, medium carbonation, and a piney hop loaded
finish. Overall, a solid offering.
Cheers

12 oz can poured into can glass canned on 9/1
A: Fairly cold so there wasn't much head. Body is a light amber gold color with excellent clarity.
S: Lots of pine and resin and some bready malts.
T: Nice light bits of the nose some pine a little resin washed away by some light crackery malts finishing slightly bitter and a little bland.
M: Light and crisp with a very abrupt clean finish.
O: The nose on the beer is in your face while the taste is a little bland but this could be due to the age of the beer. Otherwise its a clean albeit unremarkable pale ale.

A: The beer is nearly clear amber yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that quickly died down, leaving a thin film of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of caramel and toasted malts are present in the nose along with hints of citrusy hops.
T: The taste is similar to the smell, but I just get the flavors from the malts and not any of the associated "maltiness". The hops contribute notes of citrus and pine along with a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little smooth on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. Only a slight bit of crispness is noticeable.
O: The taste of this beer is all about the malty and hoppy flavors, without having nearly any of the malty undertones, crispness and bitterness that one might expect.

Can into a New Belgium snifter. Medium amber in color with good clarity and carbonation. An aggressive pour yielded about 1.5 fingers of bubbly white foam, which dissolved down into a lacing after a couple minutes. The nose is citrus, grass, lemon & orange peel, grainy pine, with a definite hop presence - not sure which variety, but it's a similar profile as used by 3F. The aroma reminds me of an old Alpha King. The taste follows with grainy hops & pine, citrus, and light grapefruit being the dominating flavors. Good bitterness. As it warms on the palate, the carbonation builds and a bubblegum-esque taste develops. Kinda weird, but I've had worse. Good feel, not too dense and has good drinkability. A little too carbonated, maybe.
Overall, not bad. I could drink a 6 pack of this once in a while during the spring/summer months.

I purchased this in a can. It poured a little dark for an APA, but had some nice lacing. It smelled a bit musty, which I found to be off putting. I detected almost no hoppiness to the flavor and it had an off after taste. Overall I was disappointed in this offering from Ei8ht Ball.

I've had this twice this fall, once from a tap and once from a can. Unfortunately, that's probably it for me. It isn't a great IPA. The draft was better, but a weird flavor lingered. It got better as it warmed and with food.
