Received in a snifter from tap.
3.5 A: Deep brown/black color. Short frothy beige head with the slightest ring of lacing.
3.75 S: Big giant blackberry. Dirty, dirty earthiness. Quite vinous. Peppery spiciness underneath.
3.75 T: Like the nose with tons of raw blackberry.
3.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Lightly creamy.
3.75 D: Very berry. Very good.

Darker than some Quads it poured a fizzy yet thick head. The nose was earthy and raw with an obvious tone of BlackBerry. The rests of the nose was more hidden but I get tones of malt and dark fruit.
The flavor emulates the nose, for the most part, but the dark fruit and malt are more balanced against the earthy Blackberries. It drinks with a superior smoothness and a completely hidden 12%.
