Black bodied with a brown head.
Roasty and chocolatey nose. I'm getting kind of a citrus note which is weird. I'd pick a different hop for this. When warmed it was harder to pick out.
Oatmeal definitely provides a smooth mouthfeel here. Medium bodied. Roast and chocolate mostly with some slight dark fruity touches.
Really nice chocolate here. Gets almost to that fudgy level but still fairly basic beer here.

Pours a nice deep dark brown with a classic tan head that can't wait to get the heck outta Dodge. The look is about the best thing about this. The rest is good, just a bit murky or uninspiring. The smell and taste is coffee, cocoa and wood all trying to get noticed. The feel is not bad, but much too thin. It really is a decent drink, but there are much better in this style.

a pours with a modest single finger tan head. NO lacing (at all!) settles to a very uniform tan film. beer itself is very dark
s nice, unusual to this IPA lover. toasted malt and coffee notes
t smooth semi sweet choco coffee malt finishes with a slightly bitter, VERY satisfying bite.
m full body and flavour
d very nice but not to be guzzled.
