L: copper with a slight haze under a sticky 2" ivory to cream foam collar with good retention.

S: malty with a hint of tobacco, bread crust, light fruit, and citrus.

T: Fruit and citrus lead the flavors with a moderately bitter middle and a crisp dry finish.

F: Hooyah! has a medium body and carbonation and is mildly creamy.

O: This is a very drinkable beer with some nice flavor and a good balance.

Pours a hazy copper color. 1/2 inch head of an off-white color. Good retention and poor lacing. Smells of spicy hops, slight citrus hops, sweet malt, tea, slight alcohol, and slight caramel malt. Fits the style of an American IPA. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. There is also a high bitterness level. Tastes of spicy hops, slight citrus hops, sweet malt, tea, slight alcohol, and slight caramel malt. Overall, decent aroma, blend, body, but too bitter, and lacking in appearance.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 6/3/2016. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy medium orange/amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops and moderate bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus peel bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange peel, light pepper/citrus rind, pine, honey, toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/sticky, and lightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is a nice IPA. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. A very well balanced IPA, and feels pretty juicy on hops. A nicely enjoyable offering.
