Not a great pour at the Blue Anchor, Helston, Cornwall. Wasn't sure if It was really an IPA, slightly cloudy, but apparently no more than normal. 4.5% fair hop character, nutty bitterness and honey sweetness in the mouth. Would drink again only if poured clearer, may be a good beer, but not on the day I visited.

At the Blue Anchor, Helston, as Jubilee IPA.
Beer strong blonde with some honeyed highlights. White foam, average in compactness and quite fluffy.
To the smell you feel tea leaves and some more pungent herbal notes.
It 's a fresh and pleasant beer, but does not have a very wide range of flavors: in the mouth even tea leaves and grassy hops aroma. We don’t feel the typical sensations of IPA, in fact.
In the aftertaste you can feel a touch of citrus (in addition to tea and herbs). As said before the beer is appreciated, you drink it with pleasure, even if, frankly speaking. we never called as an IPA.

Cask conditioned at the 32nd Cambridge Beer Festival, gravity dispense. Allegedly "brewed in some of the oldest brewery equipment in the UK, possibly some of the oldest in Europe". This should suggest that this beer is now again brewed in the refurbished Blue Anchor brewery, not at Keltek. The festival programme also lists it as brewed in the Blue Anchor. Golden colour. Hops and malt vinegar in the aroma, hints of cowshed. Decent hoppy flavour, but honestly: not that much out of the ordinary.
