Gravity poured pint during the 2013 CAMRA AGM in Norwich.
Really dark body, deep ruby red/brown with a creamy head.
Burnt malts ruled the nose and taste: roasted coffee and dark bitter chocolate flavours come into play early on as well. Earthy rather than rich or creamy in the body feel, depth of flavours good.
I'd had nothing but golden citrusy beers before this during this session, I needed a dark malt laden brew and this fitted the need in perfect style.

Cask conditioned at the 32nd Cambridge Beer Festival, gravity dispense. Black / dark brown colour. Fruity aroma mixed with a moderate roastiness. A bit thin mouthfeel despite the ABV. Moderate roast flavour with coffee and prunes notes. Moderate roastiness in the aftertaste.
