A chill-hazed light amber color with a solid white head. Goodly amounts of lacing left behind.
Smell is well balanced with smoke, meat, malt and hops notes all present.
Taste is smoke, hops and malt doing a three-way dance with no one leading. The hops are kind of herbal but more indeterminate because of the smoky/meaty note.
Medium plus body, lighter than medium carbonation. At only 35 IBU, this my kind of IPA, not the palate wreckers so prevalent these days. And with a little bacon, we'll everything's better with bacon (or chocolate). It may not be halal or kosher, but it's good.
