Dark brown with reddish orange throughout. Head drops fast, all the way to nothing.
Smell is typical porter, toasted, nearly burnt, malts, faint hop presence, coffee, faint baking chocolate. No pretzels, no mustard. As a standard American or English porter it's fine.
Taste is heavily toasted malt, coffee, baking chocolate. Balance is good, but there is nothing to back up the name.
Body is light, almost watery. While most beers from this brewery lean lighter than the norm, this one really pushes the envelope, even for a style with such a broad spectrum.
Carbonation is typical, light-ish, drying in the finish. All told, a decent brew but maybe a bad name.
