This chocolate hazelnut porter arrives as close to black as can be had. Decent chocolate milk colored head drops to a thin film fairly quick. Some lacing lingers.
Smell is chocolate, hazelnuts, roasted malts, some sweetness. Very nicely balanced.
Taste is spot on. Semi-sweet chocolate, hazelnuts and toasty malt. A bit of burnt comes through late but the flavor is well balanced.
Medium bodied with just the right amount of effervescence. Slightly drying finish. Good stuff, Maynard.
