Appearance: Amber gold glass has some depth of color that isn't hazy, but does block some light. Pours with a four finger head that dies back to a rocky finger cover leaving blots of lace over the glass. Second pour is all foam.
Aroma: Arm's length gives me some hop notes, closer in there is a load of sweet malt underneath. It smells bitter and citric.
Taste: Citric notes are in full season, lime, lemon, orange skin, with a rich toffee base that slowly fades away leaving the soaked in hop oils to slowly do an acidic burn that encourages the next greedy sip.
Mouthfeel: Medium heavy body, bit of a chew, oily finish, after the fireworks of the head, a bit low in carbonation.
Overall: Tasty monster. Great hop notes, pretty toffee malt base that finishes a bit dry. I want to say the carbonation issue is fermentation based as the beer tastes clean, but there is a hint of metal in the finish. Easy drinking which is impressive given the stats.
