Poured from a 500 ml bottle into the test glass. Poured at 40 F and allowed to warm.
A - Beautiful to look at, thick knit mocha cap, sits atop a dark brown base.
S - A touch of char, dark roast malt, hint of esspresso, and dark chocolate.
T - Roasty, with a bit of blackberrie, again with a thread of coffee, 80+% chocolate,
A nice peppery thread hides in there, maybe a touch of rye in the grist?
M - Medium body, dry and pleasant to drink, alcohol (listed at 9.3%) is well integrated.
O - A very good, straight up Imperial Stout, no gimmicks, and well executed

Pours a decent creamy rich smaller head that retains very nice and long, decent lacing good legs, dark molasses brown color but a bit of light coming through

Nose loads of coffee, freshly brewed cold extracted coffee, a bit of cocoa, plenty of caramel and fluffy nougat, touch of cookie dough and baking spices, big marshmallow nougat late, no roast at all

Taste starts with chocolate milk, big creamy lactose and a little oatmeal note, some fudgey cocoa and lush chocolate, plenty of coffee, freshly brewed cold extracted coffee, a little fudgey and plenty of caramel, dulce de leche, condensed milk, lactose sugar, a touch of nougat and marshmallow, touch of baking spices as well, maybe cookie dough, mild bitterness turning a little spicy like bitterness later, dry Irish stout like finish, a little bitter roast and bitter hop note, dried lactose and cocoa lingering

Mouth is med to heavier bod, a bit thicker and creamy rich, decent carb, creamy lactose like, very little alcohol

Overall not bad, kinda like imperial milk stout but doesn't destroy the milk stout portion, nice coffee, nice cocoa, enjoyable beer when you're looking for this style of stout.

Beautiful stout, the thick, rocky mocha colored head lasted and lasted.

Otherwise this was just okay. Lots of roast character but not much else. Satisfying enough, but kind of one dimensional.

This is a very good Imperial Stout. Very dark with a deep raisin-ish flavor, good synthesis of tastes, and not overly complex. Good alcohol content too. Over all a very solid stout.
