2 oz. sample on draft at Ubeer Fest Oct.4.
Fortunate to have the brewer himself doing the pours!
Had five other new local IPAs, they were all very good but this was my personal favorite.
a: Clear amber with a white head which receded to even surface foam and dense lacing.
s: Mild caramel malt and fairly strong pine resin.
t: Follows the nose, well balanced and amazingly drinkable for the high ABV.
m: Medium plus, very good body and just right carbonation tingle.
o: One of the best of the maltier DIPAs out there! I'll be looking for this in bombers locally!
UPDATE 12/24/15: Finally found a bottle (at Atkins Farm store in Amherst) and am having it now. Could not find a bottled on date however. Seemed more harsh at first but mellowed out fast. Just as before, malty, hoppy and for 10% ABV, easy drinking. Expensive at $11 for 22 oz. but certainly a nice holiday treat. Modified my ratings somewhat based on this new, more extensive tasting.
