Poured from the 22 oz. bottle into a Tree House stemmed tulip.
a: Clear copper/dark amber with a finger thick white head which receded to uneven surface foam and dense lacing.
s: Mild caramel malt.
t: Mainly peppery spice and alcohol followed by bitterness. Little other distinctive flavor on the dry finish.
m; Medium, good body and high carbonation tingle.
o: A smooth rye IPA with enough palate-awakening spiciness and hop bitterness balance to work. To be fair, the bottle was purchased on sale and so the hops may have had some age on them.
