Nose of malt, slight bourbon, & butterscotch. Taste sweet malt, bourbon, caramel, slight smoke. Overall, a nice experience with this Wee Heavy. Might taste better with some time.

Does this beer exist? Never has it been rated or reviewed yet I hold it in my hands tonight. A 22oz bomber I picked up at the brewery back in 5/13/2015. The minute I forked over $22 for it I had this feeling that it was a mistake. Now 8 month later and no other evidence that it exists not even a blurb from their website, I feel I'm in a parallel universe. Ok now that that is off my chest on with the review. Poured into a Green Bench snifter. Hardly any head, big bubbles form around edge. Color is a semi cloudy brownish red. 3.50. Smells of sour grapes, plumbs, prunes & woody notes. 4.00. Taste is very good and better then expected. Lots going on here! Carmel, dates, figs, nutmeg all come out on the pallet. Nice alcohol burn as it goes down. More on the light side and not syrupy at all. No hop presence at all. Has a sweetness that reminds me of a Barleywine. Lots of mellow malty flavors, 4.25. Overall this beer has aged well and is by far the best offering I have had from 3 daughters. I now know this beer exists and I'm glad it was enjoyable because $22 from a new brewery is a big risk. This beer paid off well. 4.25
