Dark, dark mahogany brown - not quite black, with fain cherry highlights capped with a sandy camel head. Nose is full of treacle and toffee, a bit of maple syrup, vanilla, and a tropical boozy character reminiscent of piƱa coladas. Booze is the first impression on the palate, leading ranks of cocoa, spicy hops, and coffee. Finish is mostly mocha. Sweet, sticky mouthfeel is almost too heavy for cask-level carbonation, but not quite. It's thick and rich without being cloying. Not really the most interesting RIS, but remarkably easy to quaff for 8% ABV.
