Pours cloudy gold. Grapefruit and Mango aroma. Nice rush of bitterness followed by a smooth finish

Pours a clear dark gold with a pure white head.
Nose is light simple hops with hints of sweet grapefruit.
Mouth feel is creamy with light carbonation and medium/full body.
Flavor profile is a simple bitter with a hint of sweet in the front and a primarily pine bitter middle and finish. Not bad; just nothing special.

Pretty hoppy with an interesting malt taste. It not too malty. It is also nice and crisp. Really refreshing. Lagunitas ipa is better tho

On tap in a pint/shaker glass. Pours fairly clear with a slight orange hue and sports a steady half inch cap of foam.
Nice hoppy aroma with classic C hops I would guess and a touch of background citric sweetness evident. Taste follows and offers a lighter than expected bitterness on the finish. Fairly well done and somewhat reminiscent of Stone IPA initially but more citrusy in aroma and less brusque on the finish. One of the better IPA's as for newer production breweries in San Diego area.

This has the most interesting woodsy and mushroomy flavor that sets it apart from most of the IPAs I've had this year. And I mean that in a good way. Tangy and tingly on the tongue.
Slightly sweet and fairly strong. Seriously aromatic. Moderate bitterness with a fruity tang. Peaches and cedar cigar boxes. I don't know whether the draft version maximum12 was drinking was over-hopped or something, but I find it quite drinkable.
I'm glad to see Legacy not only bottling beers but making good ones. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Best Damn Beer Store in downtown SD.

On tap at the Legacy tasting room. Digging the vibe at this place and the people are super-friendly, I hope the beers match up.
Pour is orange with scarcely any sign of a pulse. The nose, too, appears to be on life-support. I hate being in public & appearing like I’m trying to snort the beer, but hey, gotta do what you gotta do.
Hellfire IPA is as bitter as a teenage boy just told he can’t have thirds. Wow. Waves of bitterness that overpower the faint blips of orange, mango, & juicy pith that are briefly sensed, then subsumed in a flash. Is pith a California IPA thing? It seems as prevalent as the word “bro” out here (the unironic version). Bittering tips into a medicinal harshness on the back end, cutting into my IPA buzz. The ounces do, however, slip away fairly quickly.
I rarely even think these words but here we go: too bitter. And it’s not the bitterness so much as the crushed aspirin taste that appears at times in hoppy beers that aren’t brewed to perfection. Verdict; pretty good, and I’d have hope for this one being even better.
