This is the Rum Barrel Aged variation of Czarface. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at the brewery in Oceanside.
Moderate foam on the dark brown brew poured in the Duvel tulip. Lightly carbonated in the mouth and more silky than sudsy.
Smokey and a little charred. Just lightly sweet with some caramel and burnt sugar. Light rum aroma and a distinct taste. A hint of oaky vanilla.
Quite a pleasant dark brew that doesn't quite hit the Russian Imperial mark. It's very drinkable, strong without attracting attention to the alcohol, and has a little hoppy bitterness at the end.
