Served in a tulip glass
This beer pours a brilliant amber color with burnt orange highlights. It is topped with an inch of creamy, tan head that very little lacing.
It has a huge, sweet pineapple aroma. It smells like pineapple candy.
The taste started out just like the smell. I got sweet pineapple right away. After a few sips some citrus and pine started to come through. That sweet pineapple is omnipresent through the normal IPA flavors.
Medium mouthfeel
The candy-like smell and flavor are good if you like that sort of thing but get old quickly. This is not a terrible beer, but I could not see myself drinking more than one. The finish is like a typical IPA, but that sweetness returns with the next sip.

A - Dark orange body, largely clear but with a bit of haze, thin wisp of a light off white head, definite lacing, ropey and thin.
S - Strong honeyed malt, pineapple juice, a bit of fruit flesh.
T - The juice is front and center. Sweet core, bitter bite in the close.
M - Sticky in the open, enough carbonation to scrub in the close.
O - Too much juice to be wholly satisfying, but lots of interesting notes of honey and malt, with spiky hops in the close.
