From a 750ml crawler. Dated 8-7-24.
This is a pitch black pouring beer. Somewhat thick looking while pouring. The head that formed is a 1 finger brown color. The head retention isn't too good, and there's no lacing on the glass.
The aroma has a nice rich peanut butter aroma with hints of chocolate. The chocolate aroma is slightly roasted.
The flavor is a nice peanut butter flavor up front, and the flavor lingers. There's hints of chocolate that come in on the back side. Slightly roasted in character, the two flavors work great together.
The body is quite smooth. Slightly creamy feeling. Pretty decent body for a porter.
This beer delivers what it bills, and it does it well.
