Drank from 1 pint can purchased at Bissell Brothers Brewing Co., Portland, ME

Big thanks to hopley for grabbing me this can.
Impressive appearance. The beer poured pale straw yellow and was topped by an inch-tall, super tight and fluffy, bright white crown that slowly fell to a lasting cap of foam. A wall of patchy lacing coated the glass and stuck around until the drink’s end.
The nose was initially fantastic. Tropical fruits came through big time. Loads of guava, papaya and mango. Pineapple was also noticeable. Sweet but not excessively so. Moderate amount of weed-like dankness too. As the beer sat, the tropical fruit notes subsided and citrus took over.
The flavor profile was also terrific but lacked the initial punch of the nose. Nice melding of citrus and tropical fruits. Juicy orange notes were most apparent. Good dose of tangy tangerine as well. A generic tropical fruit quality was also noticeable. Pineapple came through in the center. Bit of lemony tartness. Grapefruit notes appeared on the back end and in the finish. Hint of lingering rind-like bitterness.
Nice fluffy, lighter bodied mouthfeel. Creamy and soft on the palate. The liquid contained a finely beaded, moderate effervescence that gave the beer an excellent slickness.
Real Ones is a flavorful and immensely crushable Bissel Bros x Austin Street double IPA collab. With the warm weather arriving, I will be on the lookout for more hoppy beers like this.
