I love Bissell Brothers, their beer, the staff, the brewery...but I don't love this beer.
A: light brown with 1/2 inch head, draft poured by staff. When I held in in the sunlight outside, looked like unsweetened Ice tea.
S: not getting a lot here, mild malts?
T: malts, flat caramel, a bit of hops on the back end. Perhaps Bissell's least flavorful beer, just not a lot going on here.
F: Really thin.
O: unfortunately nothing I can see myself revisiting again. I don't drink a lot of Browns, and maybe I don't know the style well enough to appreciate.

Poured on tap at the brewery.
Pours an....ugh, again? Someone peed out of their butt into my glass. It's just soupy brown diarrhea. Small off-white head leaves a fair bit of lacing.
The aroma is pleasant, but incredibly standard for the style. Caramel and roasted malts, with spicy hops on the back end.
The flavor is exactly like the nose: Roasted malts and caramel, with an assertive hop presence on the finish.
The feel is medium bodied with lighter carbonation. Smooth yet dry.
Overall, a pretty solid brown ale. It's on the hoppy side, which is to be expected, but it's well-balanced. As much as I love unfiltered beer, color is very important and an opaque, unfiltered dark beer looks like raw sewage at best, and liquid butt juice at worst. This beer is the latter.
