poured from a can dated 5/24/21
thick apricot colored with a thin fuzzy head, no cap and thin soapy lacing
aroma is muted stone fruits, pineapple and apricot
taste is relatively thin for such a heavy beer, some tropical fruits, earthy notes and a hint of orange.
Mouthfeel is thick and chewy, creamy feeling, some sweetness, stickiness and a slight dry bitter finish on the back of the tongue. Low carbonation
Overall its a fairly smooth drinking beer for a triple IPA, on the thick heavy side and the 10% abv is well hidden.

16oz. can into a Brooklyn Brewery snifter.
Nose is overripe mango, orange, and pineapple. Dense and very sweet. Beer opens mango, starfruit, overripe orange and pineapple. Super juicy but almost just as boozy. Cane sugar and vanilla in the middle and end. More juicy hop dankness in the end with a sweet, almost syrupy astringency. I get it but a little over the top for sure. Body is medium with moderate to ample carbonation. Prickly on the palate and goes down aggressive with a long, lingering aftertaste.
This one's a bit too much for me. I don't need 10% ABV and a sweetness to match in my IPAs.

Pours a beautiful deep gold color with a relatively thin off white head. Lacing is not very apparent. However the lack of visuals is more than made up for with the incredibly bursting, robust, sharp aromas of floral orange and a strong booziness out of the can. Very intense smell that stings the nostrils, but in a good way. The flavor is just as powerful but more balanced. Grapefruit, orange, maybe a touch of peach, maybe some cherry in it. These flavors are intense and rich and full to the very finish. Feel is think and chewy and very soft. Bitterness is light to moderate.
This is truly an impressive beer that brings another dimension to the Imperial NEIPA range than their superb Swish (in my top 5 beers all time). It has depth and richness where Swish has finesse - but each on top of a beautiful citrusy flavor. At 10% is packs a wallop and I am unlikely to grab this one to have around all the time. But the experience of it will no doubt linger and I may not resist picking up a 4-pack next time. Oh well!

Full beer review number 2,000. Poured into a 13 oz Teku glass canned on 5/19/20. Pours a gorgeous hazy yellow orange with a finger plus sticky white head that little patches of lace with amazing retention. 5
Smell ripe melon, guava, mandarin, buttery Chardonnay, and a healthy dose of apricot. Really bold and for the style very complex. 4.75
Taste follows cantaloupe, guava, mandarin and I stole this flavor from a friend buttery Chardonnay, with a little grapefruit and apricot in the bold lingering finish. Thinking it may have Nelson Hops in it. 4.75
Mouthfeel is massive, soft gentle carbonation, a tad sticky, and at 10% goes down far too easy. 5
Overall this is top shelf stuff for sure. Pretty wowed and my expectations were very high. 4.75
