Pours pitch black. Looks a bit thick when pouring. There's a nice 2 finger tan head. The head retention is good, and there's some nice lacing on my "coffee" glass.
The nose has a nice combination of coffee and maple syrup. These aromas work well together.
Taste - The coffee really hits up front, and hard. There's also a hint of chocolate that tickles my taste buds. On the backside the maple syrup hits, and lingers. Now you'd expect it to be really sweet, but it's not. Yeah, there's some sweetness to the maple syrup flavor, but it's not overpowering.
The body is good here. About the thickness you'd expect.
Very delicious!

Really enjoyed this - drinks quite light and smooth with big maple and coffee flavors. I liked the higher carbonation in this offering as well. My example was over about 40 mins, warmed and evolved in that time.

Poured into a 13 oz Teku glass canned on 2/23/20. Pours a slick used motor oil black with a 2 finger light brown head that leaves a thick collar of lace as it slowly settles into a thin layer of bubbles, with excellent retention. 4.75
Smell is cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, roasty coffee grounds, and sweet toffee. 4.5
Taste follows one dimensional in the best way possible. Milk chocolate, vanilla, Expresso, and toffee simple but rich and incredibly tasty. 4.5
Mouthfeel is bigger than medium, creamy with gentle carbonation, maybe a little dry and it works very well, and at 7.5% it drinks a tad bigger but really easy drinking. 4.5
Overall Bissell Brothers has been on fire lately, they keep producing really impressive beers and this is another. Highly recommend. 4.5

L: thin caramel colored head that disappeared quickly
S: smells like a maple lactose stout but no milk sugars listed
T: both the coffee and maple syrup are a little understated here.
F: thin as expected coming from a 7.5% stout. Carbonation on the higher end of the scale
O: decent midweek stout that would have benefitted from heavier doses of adjuncts
