From a 16oz can dated 6/15/21 into a tulip.

Pours an opaque yellowish, brownish orange with about two and a half fingers of white head. Decent retention, great lacing.

Smells of pineapple, grapefruit, grapes and tangerines.

Taste is juicy but with a tangy bitter balance. Oranges and grapefruit dominate. Maybe just a touch of oniony/garlicy earthiness.

Very soft mouthfeel. Tangy, bitter aftertaste. Medium carbonation.

NEIPAs (hazy, juicy, etc.) are a dime a dozen these days and I'm just about over them...unless they're well executed. This beer is well executed. A pleasure to drink.

Behold what the pour from a pint can into a clear glass liter mug presents. A slightly dirty blond brew, with a big fluffy off-white head and a copious amount of never ending miniscule bubbles. It takes almost the entire mug to fit this one in. The smell is on the spicy side of hoppy and some yeast can be detected. The head is generous enough to leave quite a bit of glass lacing as the liquid disappears. A remarkable body tells you this is an excellent piece of brewing. The delicious taste is consistent from front to back and through the aftertaste. All the ingredients of a good NEIPA are here. The spicy part of its taste is very subtle, probably a contribution from the good amount of yeast that helps make this one outstanding beer.

pours rich gold color, opaque, with a one finger silky head that settles quickly to a film. The Aroma is rich with deep, sweet orange flavors and maybe some papaya. The taste is just as intense with a full blast of orange-papaya juice that settles into a pleasant sweet citrus in the finish. Feel is very soft, even chewy with a light bitterness up front. Maybe a touch of alcohol burn in the finish.

This feels like it belongs in an Aslin lineup instead of Bissell, so I think it represents a departure from their previous NEIPA offerings. I do like this direction and look forward to picking this one up any time it shows on the board. Thanks guys, great job!!

16oz can poured into a tulip

A- pours a hazy orange with a one-finger creamy white head that has good retention and leaves some lacing behind

S- zesty citrusy hops for the most part, some leafy green aromas, as well as some floral undertones

T- pithy orange with some grapefruit zest is followed by some herbal and peppery notes. The finish gives more zesty citrus and a hint of mango

M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into the finish

Pours a cloudy, white-tinted light orange color with two fingers of dense, near-white head. Good retention giving way to thick, soapy lacing.

Creamy citrus (orange, lime) and some jungle flowers in the nose. Zesty, stanky and floral, making for a pleasant mix.

The taste follows fairly closely, sweet at first, giving way to a toasted herb impression and mild pill-like bitterness that linger into the aftertaste. There’s maybe some wintergreen in there, too?

The mouthfeel is lightly creamy with a high degree of prickliness from the carbonation.

The pill-like aftertaste and slight over carbonation detract a bit from what is otherwise an excellent beer — but that’s being picky. Recommended.
