Our take on a Baltic Porter was fermented with our house lager yeast before spending nearly three months cold-conditioning. Think of it like the lager world's version of an Imperial Stout – with a smooth mouthfeel and aromas of toffee, dried fruits, and toasted marshmallow at a hearty 8.7% ABV. Brewed by Eric Dumais on our pilot system, this beer was born from a love of an often-overlooked style.

500ml bottle served in my Spiegelau snifter. Pours the color and clarity of cola with a rocky, one-inch, tan-colored head embedded with craters and pinpricks. Nose is lovely - lager yeast and notes of grape must. Taste follows nose with some cocoa in the background. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with a pleasant, even carbonation. Overall, a lovely example of the style.

Pours deep rich dark brown black with a silky 3 finger toffee head. Aroma has chocolate malt notes, moderately strong. Flavor is mellow with smooth chocolate notes with a touchnof coffee in the finish and some dried plum notes. Feel is smooth and creamy, no alcohol burn. I really like this one a lot. It is a fantastic, lightly sweet but richly flavored porter. Highly recommend it.
