25.4 oz bottle.
Pours a foggy hay color with a sudsy, effervescent white head. Lots of clingy lacing. Good retention for the style.
Lots of stone fruit on the aroma, with some lemon zest, mango, and a hefty amount of brett funk. Some damp hay and grass. Just a bit of peppery spice. Very herbal throughout. Nice aroma.
The flavor definitely lives up to its description as a "Hoppy Brett Ale". Horse blanket and olive funk are the dominant flavors here. There's some citrus and a bit of sweet tropical notes. Then comes grass, hay, band-aid and grains before an earthy finish. The brett is strong throughout. Might turn some people off but if you love the funky notes that come from brettanomyces you'll definitely love this beer.
The feel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Not crisp, but bright and very dry. Easy to drink.
Overall, I would say this is a very good brett/farmhouse ale. There's a lot of brettanomyces here. It's downright funkytown. But there's definitely a nice hop presence to balance things out.
