12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It smelled of pine, citrus and roasted malt. Very malty, a little unbalanced and oddly bitter.

Another Omaha beer.

A : Pale straw color, 90% transparent. The head is fluffy and billowy, 2 fingers, leaving faint lace spotting on the glass as it recedes (resting at 1 finger). I could have taken a little more depth to the body or more lacing sticking to the glass.

S : Almost no detectable hop aroma. I smell fresh pineapple. Freshly cut pineapple. That's it. Done.

(Don't get me wrong, I like the smell of pineapple...but wtf?)

T : Pineapple and orange in the flavor profile; this is a very fruity pale ale. Unfortunately that's all there is. Malty, with zero hop characteristic, and tons of fruit. Is this supposed to be a fruit ale? Again - don't get me wrong - I like easy drinking fruit beers...but wtf?

F : Slightly dense and a little creamy, with some stabbing carbonation underneath the wash. It ends semi-dry with stabs of parchment.

O : Not in style at all. Drinkable? Yes. Enjoyable? Sure. An accurate representation of an APA? Not a chance.

Sampling right now on 3/8/14. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured into a pilsner Vikings glass.

Pours a clear yellow in color with a 1-finger white fizzy head that settles down to just around the sides of the top and glass. Some spotty lacing is seen with each sip. The aroma is of grains with a hint of floral and spice. The taste was first of sweet grains then with a slight metallic bitter finish. Medium body and carbonation. Overall better than a I.P.A. style brew but not of my favorites.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a Shaker pint glass.

APPEARANCE: Clear, yellow with medium carbonation and one finger head that dissipated quickly leaving a partial layer of foam with very little lacing.

SMELL: Flowers spice and pears, not overly assertive.

TASTE: at first slightly sweet caramel malt, then a metallic hop taste that I did not enjoy, it lingered.

PALATE: medium carbonation, medium body.

OVERALL: Storz contracts with Blue Blood Brewing Company in Lincoln, NE to brew their beers and I have had better beers from them. Not the worst beer I've had but I will not buy this beer again. Not sure what kind of hops they used but it was not to my liking.
