Just labelled "Scout" on my can. Pleasant stout- a bit sweet, a bit over spiced, with copious winter baking spices, especially heavy on vanilla and cinnamon. Drinks more like dessert- would be nice in a stout float with vanilla ice cream.

Not really much of a stout, more like a holiday gingerbread brew. Very drinkable, and got better after the first few sip. I would drink again but only because I know what it is. Anyone picking this one up expecting a roasty stout will be disappointed

32oz growler from Barrel and Barley (Woodstock, GA). 6.49. Served in a Sweetwater snifter. Enjoyed 12/24/13.
Pours cola black with a half finger tan head. A thin tan halo of tiny bubbles leaves very little lace.
Aromas of winter spices and roasty malts.
Tastes similar to a gingerbread stout. Roasty, a little chocolate, nutmeg, some cinnamon, molasses and other spices that I can't quite place.
Medium body with soft carbonation. Holiday spices dominate the finish.
An interesting winter seasonal. Kind a cross between Merry Maker and 2XMAS.

A- black with a tan head, the head has a very soft appearance
S- strong nutmeg with a hint of cinnamon
T- the nutmeg really stands out even through the aftertaste. There is a very present spiceyness that lingers with this one. I found it better to drink it as a single fluid motion rather than let the beer sit on the palate in order to enjoy the range of notes present in the beer.
M- light and airy, a refreshing alternative to stronger stouts, slight creaminess initially that fades away
O- this beer appears to be a cross between and winter warmer and a stout. Overall a very drinkable beer for the colder months.

Appearance: pitch black, medium tan head excellent lacing.
Aroma: Intense aromas of ginger snap cookie, roasted barley, and maybe even some assorted other holiday spices like nutmeg and cinnamon.
Flavor: Like dunking some gingerbread into a cup of coffee.
Mouthfeel: Medium+ bodied, balanced and drinkable. Slight linger of spice on the palate but it makes you want to take another sip, and seems perfectly acceptable for a brew you'll drink while holed up during one of Atlanta's ice storms.
Overall: A wonderfully unique, flavorful, and still balanced brew. One of the best stouts made in GA and it's not even barrel aged.
