Appearance: Clear straw gold (very, very slight haze, but mostly clear). Nice initial head, fluffy with good retention. Medium carbonation.
Aroma: Bread flour malt and floral hops. No off aromas.
Flavor & Aftertaste: Grainy, biscuity malt. Spicy hops. Mild bitterness. Low sweetness.
Mouth Feel: No astringency. Medium bodied and drying. Medium carbonation. Short, crisp, clean finish. Slight trailing bitterness in aftertaste.
Overall: I was pleasantly surprised by this pilsner because neither Reformation nor Wild Heaven is well know for lager styles. This one is very well executed. No off flavors or aromas. Aromas as malt forward with bread flour and a slight floral hop aroma. Flavors are malt forward with graininess and biscuit. Spicy hops from Liberty hops. It has a clean lager profile. Nice and dry finishing crisp and clean. Very enjoyable for a German pilsner style beer fan.
